This beautiful and truly stunning 18th century rosewood table features an intricately and detailed carved design of scrolls and vines around the sides and top edges of the piece, with an inset hardwood burr top. It was done for the Dutch East India Company, which showcases its VOC emblem in the center of each side of the skirt, and is supported on barley twist legs connected by an ‘X’ frame base. It measures 46 in – 117 cm wide, 30 1/2 in – 77.5 cm deep and 28 1/2 in – 72.3 cm in height. This amazing piece would most certainly make an excellent focal point or decorators’ piece for many different rooms and decors.
