This lovely unsigned oil on canvas is a portrait of a young woman in the early part of the 20^th century. The painting is C. 1930, and is surrounded by an earlier dated frame, C. 1890. The wood and gesso gilt frame is very deep and ornately detailed, with a matching gilt mount. It measures 34 ½ in – 87.6 cm wide, 39 ½ in – 100.3 cm high and 3 ¼ in – 8.2 cm in depth. This charming painting would make a fine addition to a wide range of rooms.
